ARBUTHNOT, Marguerite
A resident of Woodland Villa Nursing Home in Long Sault since 2017. Marguerite Arbuthnot passed away there peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday January 15, 2018. She was 92 years old. Predeceased by her first husband Alfred Wereley and by her second husband Clarence Arbuthnot. Predeceased by her beloved son Murray Wereley. Cherished mother of Keith Wereley (Sharon) of Morrisburg, Marlene Wereley and Lois Callan (Daniel) all of Long Sault. Dear sister of Clifford Prieur of Ingleside, Beatrice Martin of Norwood, N.Y., Kathleen Jodoin of Kingston, Lloyd Prieur (Jeanette) of Cornwall and Roy Prieur of Morrisburg. Fondly remembered by her five grandchildren Wendy, Sherry, Nathaniel, Christopher, Kathleen; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James and Bessie (Bender) Prieur; four brothers Percy, Lawrence, Wesley, Cecil, and two sisters Irene Hawn and Edith Crawford. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home MacDougall Chapel 14815 County Road 2 Ingleside on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. [A SERVICE IN CELEBRATION OF MARGUERITE ARBUTHNOT'S LIFE WILL BE HELD IN ST. ANDREW'S-ST. MARK'S UNITED CHURCH LONG SAULT ON FRIDAY JANUARY 19, 2018 AT 11AM.]. Reverend Daniel Hayward officiating. Spring interment to take place at Memorial Hill Cemetery in Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or St. Anderw's-St. Mark's United Church would be appreciated by the family.
