The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sterling Armstrong can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I met Sterling in 2002 at the Newington Fair. I was an outsider then but not to Sterling he greeted me with a quiet chuckle and a nod. From that day on I have felt accepted and welcomed by Sterling and the Armstrong family. Whether I dropped in at the house for a pickled egg or met at the Legion, I was always welcomed with that quiet chuckle and nod. Your father, grandfather and great grandfather will be missed.

Condolence: Sterling & my brother Leslie Fuller who passed away on Feb. 17th, 2018 were very long time buddies. He was devastated to hear of Leslie when I called him. Debbie called me with the news. We figured that those 2 old boys would be partying it up once they got together upstairs & wrecking havoc. They sure liked the time they spent together at the Legion, at Sterling's & our (Kevin/Karen Casselman & Leslie Fuller's) place in Lunenburg & Newington's houses. My husband Kevin Casselman is a distant relative. His uncle was Bill Armstrong, cousin I think to Sterling. We all had such great times with Sterling for a good 2 decades. Will miss him so very much! Try to behave up there Sterling!! Love you! Karen Casselman

Condolence: Steven, Brian and Gord. I have lots of great memories of Sterling growing up as a child and when Richard and I lived there for a while. He was a very generous, helping caring man. He will be sadly missed by Richard and myself. On behalf of the St Jean family late (Rheal and Jeannette), Sherry, Cindy and Dean, and my kids Nick and Kristen Larin, myself and Richard Stanley. I offer our sincere condolences to the family and all of his friends. He will be missed dearly. Love you Sterling, may you be at rest now.

Condolence: We are so saddened to hear about Sterling’s passing. We were blessed to have him as our neighbor for more than 7 years. He was so kind, funny and helpful. There really couldn’t have been a better guy to have next door. From allowing us to borrow his many tools to having a beer in the driveway to making him rice pudding and getting trouble for bringing him way to much food, Sterling always had time to stop and chat with the kids and allowed them to play in the driveway for hours at at time. We have truly missed him since we moved in June. He will be forever in our hearts and minds❤️ We loved him as if he was our own. May your Rest In Peace Sterling.
