Daryl's Lunch

Daryl and Dean were my first friends when we moved too Avonmore area in 1967-68. We had a large family of eleven kids, and I guess you could say we were poor. Daryl and Dean's Mom, would pack them a generous lunch every school day at the old Avonmore Public School. Daryl was an especially aware kid, even at the age of 10 or 11. He saw that I would frequently come to school without a lunch. Dean too. He and Dean would often share their large lunches with me....but said not to tell anyone, afraid it would get back to their Mom and they may get heck... LOL. Anyway, I will always remember that. A generous spirit, Daryl was, even at the age of 10. Godspeed Daryl Jackson
