With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Irene McLaren at her home in Okanagan Falls, BC. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Earl Cooke. Irene was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Vincent Macaulay, her daughter Constance and son Leslie. She will be sadly missed and remembered by her sons Paul (Cindy) and Chris (Nancy), 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also, she leaves behind her daughter-in-law Sophie and son-in-law Garnet, her sisters Joan and Sheila, brother Bob and cousin Dorothy as well as numerous relatives and friends. Irene's love for family and friends and the neighbors' dogs was unconditional and were made to feel welcome at her home. Her enjoyment in life was to lavish family and friends with her expertise cooking, baking and preserves. Irene has been a blessing to all that knew her.
