Obituary for Rita Courville (Benoit)

Rita Courville (Benoit)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Mrs. Rita Courville (born Benoit)
November 24, 1922 - November 19, 2017

She took her last breath Sunday November 19th a few days short of her 95th birthday. Predeceased since 2004 by her husband, Olivier Courville with whom she has shared more than 60 years of marriage. With Olivier, they have had eight children: Jacques (Darquise Proulx), Lucille (Gilles Quenneville), the late Denise (Rene Godin), the late Rene (Nicole Dubois), Claude (Jacynthe Grgoire), Marcel (Tamara McClintock), Michel (Francine Lafrance) and Roger (Margaret McMahon). Will keep precious memories of a loving and sweet grandmother, her 22 grandchildren. At the time of her departure, Rita was blessed to love 29 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; Jack. Still in their mother, 3 great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Benoit and the late Alfeda Levesque. Leaving behind her sister Bernadette (Rolland Dagenais) and her sister-in-law Lilianne (late Rolland Perras), she will join her brothers and sisters: Lucien, Laurent (late Noella Lefevre), Ernest (late Fernande Sanche), Donat (late Jeanne Poirier), Roch (Alice Jolivette), Jeanne, Alice (late Euclide Quesnel), Therese (late Telesphore Lacroix), Florence (late Lucien Vezina) and Lucienne (late Ernest Patenaude); her brother-in-law Ernest Courville (Kathleen Chisholm). She will be missed by many friends, nephews and nieces. Her great gentleness, her admirable calm, her pride for the farm and the farmers and her love for her family will have touched the lives of many who have had the chance to know her. Beautiful long life she had, but it is with a heavy heart that we wish her a good journey to a world without suffering...finally reunited with the love of her life. The family invites you to pay your last repects on the day of her birthday. Visits will be held from 10am to 1:30pm on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Crysler Community Center. The religious service will follow at 2pm in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary Crysler. At her request, those who wish to donate in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Brownlee Funeral Home.
