Peacefully at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa on Sunday March 25, 2018 age 97 years. Arnott Victor Empey of Berwick. Beloved husband of the late Doris Empey nee Droppo. Loving father of Carol (Clair Donnelly) and Gail (William Hasiuk). Dear grandfather of Craig (Chantal) and Lori (Wayne). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Murnie and Eleanor (Begg) Empey; one sister Erma and one brother Cyril. He was Clerk-Treas. of Finch Twp from Feb 1947 until his retirement in Dec. 1997. He was a member and Past Master of Finch Masonic Lodge #557, Grand Steward for the Eastern District of Ont. for 2003-2004 and a member of Henderson Lodge # 383 Winchester, now North Dundas Lodge # 320.He was a life member of #357 Branch, Royal Canadian Legion, Finch and a member of St. Luke's-Knox Presbyterian Church in Finch. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home 18 Front Street Finch on Friday from 7pm until 9pm. [A SERVICE IN CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE WILL BE HELD IN THE CHAPEL OF THE FUNERAL HOME ON SATURDAY MARCH 31, 2018 AT 1PM.]. Spring interment at the Finch Community Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital or St. Luke's-Knox Presbyterian Church Finch would be appreciated by by the family.
