Peacefully with her family by her side at Cornwall Hospice on Saturday April 14, 2018 age 82 years. Joan Sorbie nee Hanley of Cornwall. Beloved wife of Wayne Sorbie. Loved mother of Mark Desnoyers (Sue), Tammy Cook (Mike) all of Long Sault, Karrie Sweeney (Doug) of Cornwall and Jeffrey Sorbie (Fanny) of Stittsville. Dear sister of Anne Hanley of Kanata and Peter Hanley of Seabright, Ontario. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Nathan, Jordan, Brandan, Ashley, Drew, Stacie and her great grandchildren Brennan, Charlotte, Hawley, Mayzie, Penelope, Jackson and Aubrey. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Roberts and Ruby (Dewar) Hanley; 2 brothers Alexander, Robert and by 1 sister Mary Burke. To Honour Joan's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home MacDougall Chapel 14815 County Road 2 Ingleside on Saturday from 10am until 12:45pm. [A SERVIVE IN CELEBRATION OF JOAN SORBIE'S LIFE WILL BE HELD IN THE CHAPEL OF THE FUNERAL HOME ON SATURDAY APRIL 21, 2018 AT 1PM.]. In lieu of flowers.
