I remember so many neighbourhood gatherings, food to be had and lots of kids to play with and of course Nancy's laugh. I remember Nancy using a type of whistle to call Donald home, usually around dusk. I always knew that was probably my signal as well that outdoor play time was over. I remember my mom and Nancy getting together for coffee and a chat at each other's house every morning. If I was home sick from school I would always try and listen in! I remember all the bridge parties at the house, mom and Nancy were partners for many years. I remember when grandpa Bedingfield died, Nancy arrived at the house and went straight to my grandmother and gave her the biggest hug and cried with her. I remember leaving for university and there was Nancy on her front lawn waving, smiling with a tissue up to her eyes as we drove down Maple Street. I remember Nancy hosting a bridal shower for me, she was so excited. So many memories to hold on to.
