Obituary for Marko Pavletic

Marko Pavletic
The family of Marko (Braco) Pavletic (B: June 29, 1944) is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, dida and brother, after his courageous battle over the past year and a half with pancreatic cancer, as many of you know, in the early hours on Monday, November 26, 2018. He is survived by his caring, devoted wife of nearly 54 years, Kata (nee Jovanovic), his daughter Lilian (Morrisburg) with her husband, Bill and their sons, Matthew and Nicholas Woolley and son, Miro (Mississauga), with wife Nadia and their children, Marko, Noah and Olivia, as well as his younger brother Mirko (Croatia). Marko loved his grandchildren very much and took pride in all that they did. He truly enjoyed driving and had travelled hundreds of kilometers working with Bill at Cornwall Honda. Marko will also be greatly missed by numerous family members, friends and so many who had gotten to know him over the many years he worked at Weston Bakeries and Maplehurst since immigrating from Croatia in 1974 as well as those at Cornwall Honda. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home 14815 County Road 2 Ingleside on Thursday from 6pm until 8pm and on Friday from 11:30am until 1:15pm. A service in celebration of Marko's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday November 30, 2018 at 1:30pm. Fr. Dinko Kalmar from St. Leopald Mandic Croatian Parish, Ottawa officiating. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated, in lieu of flowers, and may be made in Marko’s name to the Cancer Centers at the Ottawa General Hospital and/or the Winchester Hospital, thanking all the doctors and nurses who cared for and comforted Marko during all his cancer treatments. Many thanks to the Champlain RPCT for all the home visits. Online donations may be made at www.brownleefuneralhomes.com.
