Condolence: As a kid always enjoyed going back to visit Uncle Nelson, Aunt Eva, Mark and Bill when they lived on County Road 18. Aunt Eva was such kind hearted lady who always had a great meal on and who would always make you feel welcome. Loved going there for the weekend ❤

Condolence: My deepest condolences to Bill, Mark, Patty and Eddy and family. I have so many memories of Eva (and Nelson too) from living next door to them in Vernon. She was always someone I asked my parents for updates about through my adulthood. Growing up, Eva was pretty much always outside working on their beautiful yard or talking walks and she always took the time to have little chats with me. I remember on a regular basis asking if I can take Candy for a couple hours - she even ate one of my ice cream cones in one gulp when we were trying to get onto a swing set and then I had to get my mom to call Eva to ask if I had poisoned her dog and Eva just couldn't stop laughing. She even let me dress Candy up in baby clothes (diaper included with dog tail hole) and enter her in the Metcalfe Fair - my mom still laughs so much at the turn out of that choice (remember diaper!). But aside from dear Candy, Eva was always there when we needed to get to awkwardly timed appointments (every Monday afternoon allergy shots after school) or were too sick to stay at school (my sister even puked on poor Candy in the car!). She was just the loveliest, strongest (those muscles!) woman and she is such a huge memory of my childhood. So many times I would bike into the driveway to find Eva & Nelson and my parents all sitting on the grass between the yards laughing and covered in mosquito bites but no one wanting to go inside just yet. I'm glad I did get to see her before she passed - she recognized me right away and she shared some stories she remembered too. Such an amazing woman! As I know she will be so very missed by the family still here, it brings a smile to my face to think of the reuniting of Eva, Nelson, Candy, and the cat (Boots?).
