The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marie Cook can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

David Cook. Son

This is an excerpt from a posting i did on Facebook. She was just a few days shy of her 88th birthday. For the last couple of weeks she was recovering from a broken hip, broken leg, and a massive heart attack. Three things all at once. She was a tough bird and still tried to walk to the bathroom even though she couldn't support herself. Taught me math, how to cook, how to drive, how to wash dishes (without cutting myself on the sharp knives), do laundry, make my bed, do homework and she even found an add in the paper that got me into the computer field. Boy she was so mushy. And like most mothers she knew things. Caught me when i didn't know she knew. How did you do that? I have a picture of mom holding the hands of my sister and i just a few weeks ago when i went to see her. Now she is at peace. Debra you were a great daughter to mom.
