Obituary for Alan Tinker

Alan Tinker
TINKER, Alan James William

It is with great sadness that the family of Alan James William Tinker announce his sudden passing at home on Monday, July 13, 2020 at the age of 62 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Deborah Ann Jones-Tinker. Loved father of Lynette Jonas (Chris), Matthew Tinker (Christie) and Jaina Tinker and “favourite other Dad” of Shaun Jones (Tamara) and Karen Jones (Kris). Loved Grandfather (Poppa) of Jacob Jonas. Loved brother of David Tinker (Tracey), Australia, Michael Tinker (Cynthia), Kanata, Paul Tinker, Abbotsford, Geoffrey (Valerie), Jasper, ON, Pat Diak (Tom), Vernon, ON and Rick Tinker (Cindy), Vancouver. Beloved uncle to several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Eileen (Greenfield). In his quiet and unassuming way he inspired a deep love and admiration in family, friends and coworkers alike. Family was important to him and was happiest when visits occurred and a meal was shared. A profound wisdom, sense of humor and opinions will surely be the basis of many shared recollections going forward from today. Deeply loved and forever in our hearts. Heaven has gained an angel…our love and memories will be the cherished treasures of tomorrow. According to Al’s wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date to be announced at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Brownlee Funeral Home Ingleside. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Winchester District Memorial Hospital or Camp Kagama would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be made at www.brownleefuneralhomes.com.
