Sister

Just wanted to share a story for Diane & Allan. Marie was my mentor, "Go To" and wonderful loving sister. One of my memorable times of our childhood was when she would mop and put paste wax on the linoleum in the living room (back in the 40's). Then it had to be buffed to get a shine, and she would get me to sit on the dust mop and hold on while she pushed me over the floor. It was fun for me and I think for her, and obviously Mom was happy too. She was also a bit of a trickster and knew I was afraid of the dark, so she would be upstairs supposedly doing her homework, and the only lighting was one lamp. She would call me up and just before I got to her, out goes the light. Of course I would scream, nevertheless, it was fun. Diane, I liked her obituary. Very nice. In our family we were not accustomed to saying I love you but Marie was able to express her feelings better, and it just caught on with me too. I will love her forever and happy we shared many memories. Eva
