Passed away in hospital after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday August 30th, 2020 age 76 years. Leonard Peter Boyd Pettit of Ottawa. Beloved husband of the late Erma Pettit . Loved father of Peter Pettit (Carol) and Bill Pettit (Megan) all of Ottawa. Dear brother of Norah (Ron). Predeceased by Eleanor (Darcy), Barbara (Mike), Nolene (Charlie), Jean Anne (Gord). Deeply missed by his grandchildren Aidan, Callie, Carson, Grayson, Cassie and Isla. Also by numerous nieces, nephews and great friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Lydia Pettit. To honor Leonard's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service in celebration of Leonard Pettit’s life will be held at Finch Community Cemetery on Sunday September 13th , 2020 AT 11:00AM. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.
