McDermid, Lyal Passed away peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Friday September 18, 2020 at the age of 84. Lyal leaves behind his loving wife June (Smith), Cherished Father to Donnie (Patsy) of Berwick and Debbie Baker (late Yves) of Berwick. Sadly missed by his loving grandchildren Christy (Alex), Jason (Shelby), Travis (Megan) and Alesha, and also missed by his great grandchildren Ciriaco, Harper, Marcos and Berkley. Predeceased by his parents Dalton and Dorothy (Clements) McDermid and survived by sister Lois Smith (late Glendon) of Finch. He will be missed by several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws as well as many nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends. Do to COVID a grave side funeral will be officiated by Reverend Lois Gaudet at the Finch Community Cemetery on Friday September 25, 2020 at 11:00, due to restrictions in attendance the limit is max of 99 people. As expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Chalmers United Church Finch or Winchester District Memorial Hospital (2nd Floor) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
