It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Hendrik (Henry) Looyen. June 28, 1936 - February 13, 2021. Beloved husband of Willempje (Willy) vandeHee. Cherished father of Janet (Abe) Douma, Bert (Cindy) Looyen, Henry Looyen. Predeceased by daughter Evelyn Looyen. Brother of Jan Willem (Maartje), Cor, Arnold (Henny), Wim (Astrid), Willy (Ruth VandeBerg). Predeceased by one brother Gerrit (Bep) all in the Netherlands. Brother-in-law of Wendy and Co DeRooy, Mina and Ben Kroeze, Grace VanDeGlind, Jan VandeHee. Predeceased by Willem VandeHee, Lena and Cees VandeBerg, Gys VandeHee (Tina), Henk VandeGlind, Lees VandeHee and Henk VandeHee. Grandfather of Andrew (Heather) Douma, Randy (Shannon) Douma, Angela (Adam) Ball, Melissa (Jesse) Murphy, Brad (Rikki) Looyen, Cory (Strauna) Looyen, Cody Looyen, Derek Looyen, Darian Looyen and Chloe Looyen. Survived by 14 graet-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you to the doctors and nurses for his excellent care at the Cornwall Community Hospital. Private arrangements at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
