Condolence From: Louise and Gary Nephew Nephew
Condolence: We send our deepest sympathy to Mrs.Bush and your family. I have known Mr.Bush (I never was able to offer him the same respect by calling him 'D'Arcy') since I was a little boy, going with my Dad on deliveries.
Mr.Bush was truly a gentle man. I never heard him say a harsh word to or about anyone. He was kind, sincere and
always had time for a short story or explanation about whatever was at hand.
I am very proud to say that Mr. D'Arcy Bush was my friend - and a good one at that.
We share your grief in the loss of a really, really good man.
Louise and Gary Nephew

Condolence: Boozhoo, Greetings. I put some tobacco out and played a travelling song, sung by Anishnaabe singers. This is my way of prayer and making an offering to my ancestors. Darcy was the most positive male person in my life and I continue to carry his words of encouragement to Walk Tall and to be proud. As a kid in the foster care system, no one had ever said those words to me. D'Arcy led by example; he did what needed to be done with no complaints, always with a silent determination to just keep doing. I carry that work ethic with me every day. I met D'Arcy and Kate at a time in my life where I did not know who I was. All I knew was that I was scared. They sensed this in me and they let me adjust to their home and environment in my own way. It was another thing I had never been allowed to do. D'Arcy's love of reading also inspired me to start my own collection of books and my love of reading also comes from seeing him read by his beautiful collection of stories in his bookcase. The positive foundation he provided to me in my youth helped me become the person I am today. There are no words for goodbye in the Anishnaabe language; it's until-we meet-again. I love you and chi-miigwetch (big thank you.)

Condolence: I was saddened to learn of D'Arcy's passing. I worked with D'Arcy at BCL, Courtaulds Films for many years. He was an awesome employee. After working 40 hours per week, he still ran his farm.
