THOMPSON, Morris Lloyd

Mr. Morris Lloyd Thompson, peacefully at home in Cornwall, on Saturday April 10th, 2021, at the age of 82 years surrounded by loved ones who took great care to ensure he passed away comfortably. Beloved and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, in-law and patriarch. A Domtar retiree and avid fan of his beloved Montreal Canadiens, Moe was a tireless family man who loved get-togethers, trips to Disney with family and Jolly Tours with his wife and friends. Moe was also a leader in the community, giving much of his time volunteering with the Big Brothers “Bowl for Millions” and many years as a coach and mentor with the Youth Bowling Council. Moe was also elected as a member of the Cornwall Sports Hall of Fame in the Bowling category.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Rose (née Legault), caring father of Perry (Wanda), Michael (Judith), Randy (Heather), Richard (Pam), and the late Jeffrey (Christine). Also survived by his 11 loving Thompson grandchildren, Danica, Kyle, Marina, Samantha, Taylor, Maureen, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Cassandra, Emma and Miya. He was the loving and eldest son of the late Aden and late Mary (nee MacMillan) Thompson, son-in-law of the late William "Bill" and late Liliane (née Doré) Legault. Dear brother of Alan Thompson (Rosina), Ron Thompson (Maureen), Dale Thompson, Brenda White (late Bill), Sharon O’Neill (late Brian), Wendy Lapierre (late Richard), Neil Thompson (Nancy), Dennis Thompson (Colleen), Rick Thompson (Sue), Greg Thompson (Wendy), Sandy Brabant (late Danny). Fondly remembered by many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Monday August 16, 2021 at 11am followed by Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall. If so desired contributions in his memory to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Brownlee Funeral Home Inc. Ingleside ON.
