Peacefully at Woodland Villa in Long Sault on Saturday October 29, 2016 age 96 years. Gordon Alexander McRae formerly of Avonmore. Beloved husband of Thelma McRae nee Coleman. Loved father of Gail Shaver (late Clayton), Linda McKercher (Donald) all of Finch, Terry McRae (Annette) of Avonmore and the late Gloria Croskery. Dear brother of Melba McIntyre of Moose Creek, Luella Theede of Avonmore and Viola McRae of Moose Creek. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren Angela, Vicky (Steve), Wendy, Scott (Becky), Cheryl, James (Claudia), Erin (Doug), Robin, Patrick, Kate, Jenna and by 7 great grandchildren Chase, Carter, Camden, Abigail,Sarah, Isabella and Lianna. Predeceased by his parents Lindsay and Nellie (Norman) McRae; 1 sister Verna Barnes and 3 brothers Everett, Harold and Lyle McRae. [A SERVICE IN CELEBRATION OF GORDON MCRAE'S LIFE WILL BE HELD IN ST. JAMES UNITED CHURCH AVONMORE ON TUESDAY NOVEMBER 8, 2016 AT 11:00AM.]. Reverend Lois Gaudet officiating. Interment to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
