At St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (SJCC) in Cornwall, Mom passed away peacefully at the age of 95 surrounded by the love of her children after an 8 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She will be sadly missed by her children Patricia Delaney, Kathleen Delaney, Maureen Delaney (Bob Charlebois), Dennis Delaney (Gerry Hubers), Darlene Blanchard (Paul), and daughter-in-law Janet Delaney (late Michael), as well as the Thompson family; Carol Mooney (Roy), Bud (Jean) and Harry. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ursula is predeceased by her two husbands; Vincent Delaney (founder Delaney Bus Lines) and Ellwood Thompson as well as three sons Michael, Lawrence and Dean. Ursula is also predeceased by her parents Hugh Curran and Jenny Manion of Finch and siblings Bernice Reynolds, Doreen O’Donnell, Jim Curran, Helen Curran, Marcella McKinnon, Leo Curran, Jean MacDiarmid and Walter Curran. We would extend a special thanks to the staff at the Quinn House, SJCC for the remarkable care and love that was extended to Mom. Your smiles and “hello Ursula” made her feel very special. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home 18 Front Street Finch on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. [MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE CELEBRATED IN ST. BERNARD’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH FINCH ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 3, 2017 AT 11AM.]. Rite of Committal at a later date in St. Anthony’s Parish Cemetery Apple Hill.
