Condolence From: Evert de Boer
Condolence: Just read the news of Harry's passing away. Very sad to read this. As a fellow Dutchman at Nortel, Harry would always keep me up to date on the latest Dutch soccer news. He was a great person to work with. My prayers are with the Welton family.

Condolence: I was so saddened to hear of Harry's untimely tragic death. Harry and I met each over 30 years ago on the day that he started at BNR and he sat down at the desk next to mine. We worked together for many years after that and over that time, I came to know Harry as a very diligent intelligent co-worker, a really funny guy, an avid football fan, a proud Dutchman and most of all, a devoted family man. I also remember how determined Harry was - the day he sat next to me, he had his ashtray and cigarettes with him (those were the days when you could still smoke at your desk). Shortly after that though, he told us he was quitting smoking and taking up running. And did he ever do that ! More recently, I had been marvelling at Harry's recall of BNR/Nortel history on Facebook and enjoying the photos he proudly posted of his family and especially of his new grandson. My sincere condolences to Marian, Cassandra, Vanessa and the extended Welten family.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the family. I too worked with Harryvat BNR/Nortel and was so sad to hear the news. Harry was such a great colleague, we went through some very tough projects at work, long hours, and Harry was always so calm under pressure, such a excellent work ethic, a joy to be with. I am sure that he will be truly missed by his colleagues at Ciena.

Condolence: Our sincere condolences to Harry's family.
We're both saddened by the news of his passing and we'll miss chatting with such a positive, friendly person.
I'll think fondly of Harry (and his wheelbarrow), whenever I walk or run on a trail, with dry shoes.

Condolence: So very sorry to hear of Harry's passing. I worked with Harry at Ciena and have known him since the Nortel days. I have been off work and have just learned of this sad news. Harry and I were passionate football (soccer) fans and often spent time discussing results, teams news, manager changes etc especially regarding Harry's beloved Netherlands team.

My heartfelt condolences to Harry's family and friends,
Derek.
