My condolences to the Begg/Hopkins families. I was a colleague and friend of Debs at the University of Ottawa Library where we worked together for 33 years. I began working several years after Debra but we became good friends and foodie and drinking buddies. Deb always brought the Chrysler hospitality to a party whether she was acting as hostess or bringing potluck to your place. Generosity and good heartedness were her middle names. As well as being musical, hardworking and intelligent she was fun and loved life. A favourite memory is of Deb doing a yoga headstand while singing Ave Maria at a small get together. Only Deb could do that. I moved to Southwestern Ontario 5 years ago upon my retirement and was so saddened today when a colleague informed me of Debs passing. Dear Debra, may you Rest In Peace, you were a wonderful woman.
