Peacefully at the St. Joseph’s Villa on Saturday July 17, 2021 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Joan Cryderman (nee Thompson) with whom he shared 64 happy years of marriage. Loving father of Tim (Donna), Jody (Courtney) and Perry (Carolyn). Sadly missed by grandchildren Troy (Brittany), Cody (Kayla), Chelsea (Alan), Lucas, Kristen and great-grandchildren Ethan and Emmett. Survived by brother Earl (late Gloria) and sister Jean McDonald (late Angus), in-laws Junior Thompson (Rita), Alice and Janie. Predeceased by parents Hubert and Lottie (nee Hartwell) and siblings Ren, Lena McIntyre (Hugh), Roy (Shirley), Arnold, Eva Collins (Ronnie) and Glen.
Cyril was born on the Cryderman farm in Osnabruck Centre, the seventh of Hubert and Lottie’s nine children. He drove trains at the Cornwall Street Railway and retired from CN Railway. After retiring, Cyril led an active life and enjoyed traveling, going to the horse races, bowling and working on his property.
A graveside memorial service will be held on a Friday July 30, 2021 at 11am Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Osnabruck Centre. There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Brownlee Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Albert House at St. Josephs Villa. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Albert House, St. Joseph’s Villa, Cornwall.
